Shane Weickum — a sustainable AI engineer, building with care.

I'm an AI engineer, and honestly, what I love most is building technology that just works — quietly, efficiently, and without asking for more than it needs to get the job done right. I'd rather spend the extra time finding the right tool for the job than reach for the biggest or flashiest one out of habit.

That same instinct — take something complicated and make it feel simple — is also why Nodylus Automat/ons exists: a consultancy where I help other businesses figure out where automation and AI genuinely make sense for them, and just as importantly, where they don't. I care about getting that answer right more than I care about selling a bigger project.

Sustainable AI, in practice: right-sized, efficient AI instead of defaulting to the biggest option, one solid foundation reused for every client instead of starting over each time, and computing that runs on equipment we own instead of constant cloud spending. Sometimes slower. Always built to last.
